The function of fruit cold storage:

1.Fruit cold storage can extend the fresh-keeping storage period of fruits, which is generally longer than ordinary food cold storage. After some fruits are stored in the cold storage, they can be sold off-season, helping businesses achieve higher profit value;

2.Can keep the fruit fresh. After leaving the warehouse, the moisture, nutrients, hardness, color and weight of the fruits can effectively meet the storage requirements. The fruits are fresh, almost the same as when they were just picked, and high-quality fruits and vegetables can be provided to the market.

3.Fruit cold storage can inhibit the occurrence of pests and diseases, reduce losses, reduce costs, and increase income;

4.The installation of the fruit cold storage freed agricultural and sideline products from the influence of climate, prolonged the fresh-keeping period, and obtained higher economic benefits.

Generally speaking, the storage temperature of fruits is between 0°C and 15°C. Different fruits have different storage temperatures and should be stored separately according to their suitable temperature. For example, the storage temperature of grapes, apples, pears, and peaches is about 0℃~4℃, the storage temperature of kiwifruit, lychees, etc. is about 10℃, and the suitable storage temperature of grapefruit, mango, lemon, etc. is about 13~15℃.

Cold storage maintenance method:

1.Dirty water, sewage, defrosting water, etc. have corrosive effects on the cold storage board, and even icing will cause the temperature in the storage to change and imbalance, which shortens the service life of the cold storage. Therefore, pay attention to waterproofing; regularly clean and clean the warehouse. If there is accumulated water (including defrosting water) in the cold storage, clean it up in time to avoid freezing or erosion of the storage board, which will affect the service life of the cold storage;

2.It is necessary to check the environment in the warehouse regularly and carry out defrosting work, such as defrosting the equipment of the unit. If the defrosting work is carried out irregularly, the unit may freeze, which will lead to the deterioration of the cooling effect of the cold storage, and even the warehouse body in severe cases. Overload collapse;

3.The facilities and equipment of the cold storage need to be checked and repaired regularly;

4.When entering and exiting the warehouse, the warehouse door must be closed tightly, and the lights will be shut off as you leave;

5.Daily maintenance, inspection and repair work.
